Program Process
1 Herd Review
Evaluation of herd history, diagnostics, and treatment records.
2 Acceptance
Determination of program fit within approximately 14 days.
3 Collection Planning
Coordination between producer, veterinarian, and CHM.
4 Sample Collection
Conducted under veterinary oversight using appropriate methods.
5 Diagnostic Testing
PCR, culture, and pathogen identification via CHM lab.
6 Results Review
Interpretation and guidance for next steps.
Sample Collection
- Collection methods may include deep nasal swabs, tissue sampling, fecals or other appropriate diagnostics
- Animals may be restrained or sedated depending on safety and conditions
- All procedures are conducted under a valid VCPR

We use diagnostics to identify the actual pathogens present so you can treat the problem correctly in the field — not guess at it. When possible, those results can also be used to develop herd‑specific isolates, helping create more targeted health solutions moving forward.
