Josh Newton, known throughout the cervid industry as “The Deer Wizard,” brings nearly three decades of hands-on experience working directly with whitetail deer and managed cervid herds across North America.
Since entering the deer industry in 1999, Josh has built a career grounded in real-world experience – working daily with herd management, nutrition, reproduction, fawn development, health protocols, facility systems, breeding programs, and the practical challenges deer and elk farms face every season.
Josh is deeply committed to the producers and animals he serves.
Today, Josh is the founder of Fusion Animal Health, the parent organization behind Cervid Health Management (CHM) — a consulting, education, and vaccine-development platform focused on improving herd health outcomes for deer and elk farms.
His work centers on:
